Up for auction is the GI Joe JC Penny exclusive Bridgelayer with figure Tollbooth It is MISB and comes with the shipping sleeve. This item is still factory sealed on both ends. The seals have not been broken at either end please see photos. As anyone who has been watching EBay you will know what it is selling for and any collector knows that to find original MIB/MISB item from the 1980s is RARE and well worth the money. This is a VERY RARE item to find. Over the years I have know several people who have worked at Hasbro including some of the designers. They knew I collected GI Joe and gave/sold me some of the items they worked on. The designers were given the finished product they worked on. I used to pass along information to the GI Joe collector club and wrote 2 articles for them April 1996 titled “Secrets of the Designers” and May 1998 “Things Never Produced” To find this still Mint in Box like this is rare you do not see a lot of these that are Mint in the Box on EBay and when you do the price is high. The price is very firm because with the release of the new movie “The Rise of Cobra” and the up coming new carton series along with the next movie to be released I am sure this will only go up in value. Again this is still factory sealed and came direct from Hasbro. Please serious interested only. NO DEALERS. COLLECTORS ONLY PLEASE. Shipping is within the USA only and is fixed at $50 which will include insurance for the final selling price. I will wrap the item in bubble wrap and place it in abox with styrofoam peanuts and other packing material to ensure safe shipping. Please feel free to contact me with any question. I am selling off my MIB, MISB and MOC GI Joe collection because I do not have the time to enjoy it any more but if my reserve price is not meet I will just keep it for awhile longer. I will be listing other items as time permits please check back. Please serious interested only. These will be a great addition to any GI Joe collection. I am selling of my collection that I have had for the last 20 years because I do not have the time to enjoy it as I did before. If the item does not sell I will just hold to it for awhile longer. My Defiant Space Shuttle complex just sold for $5,600 plus shipping and my USS Flagg for $10,000 plus shipping. I have several people interested in some of the items. The biggest question I have been asked are the boxes still sealed because some have marks where there was tape and other have wear on the tape (best way I can describe it). Some of the items are 25 years old after awhile the glue comes undone but the box is still sealed. A lot of the items I have or will be putting up for auction are rare and hard to find MIB items and again I am sure that the value will only go up on them as will the rarity of finding them. So what I did was hold up each box and have my wife take photos of the ends so show they are still sealed, the flaps are not open and nothing fell out. Other than that I do not know how to prove that they have never been opened. I do not want to force anyone to buy so I think it may be best to put the stuff on EBay and let people decide for themselves. I have enjoyed my collection for years. I never had anything graded by AFA or any other company I enjoyed it as is and did not need the grading to enjoy it. Also to most people who have seen my collection (friends) if I was to tell them it was AFA graded they would not know what that means or is. Outside of another collector what does a C-10 or AFA 80 rating really mean and by not having it does it make the collection any less enjoyable? Or is it just a status thing for some to say my collection is AFA graded? Just my personal opinion. I have gotten several question on the boxes being MIB or still sealed so here is what I have come up with. The winning bidder is more than welcome to pick up the item. Once you pay me for the item you can then open the box and if the contents are not all there or not sealed in their bags I will give you back your money. However once you open the box and verified the contents are as stated you own it at that point because once opened I have no way of re-sealing the box again to make as it was before you opened it. As I stated these item are 25 years old after a period of time the glue and or tape dries out and can come off. If you are looking to find something that is still 100% factory new as in it just came off the line then you are going to pay a lot more than what I am asking. Keep in mind once again these items are RARE. I have watching EBay, Craig’s list and other to see what these items are selling for and my prices are lower than other are getting for the items in the same condition.
