This is a beautiful carded figure, and something I could never expect to own.

Star Wars Kenner 1978 Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi DT DOUBLE TELESCOPING SABER Carded MOC! This is one of 8 or 9 DT Obi-Wan’s still known to exist carded!

The saber is what makes this figure so valuable. Evidence suggests that only a very few of these were issued, as Kenner moved to a simple one-piece saber before the line even hit store shelves.

To notice the difference, you can see that there is no curve between the thick and thin portions of the saber; the thin stem appears to go straight into the thicker shell. The apparently short length of the thin portion is also a telltale sign of the DT saber. The “wick” portion would appear to be much longer on the standard accessory.

1977 Kenner Six Million Dollar Man Bionic Bigfoot

In the Six Million Dollar Man TV series, Bigfoot and Steve (The Boionc Man) start off as enemies but Bigfoot gradually decides Steve is okay and he saves him at the end of the episode.

The same is true in the toy line. On the package we see Steve and Bigfoot going mano a mano, but later toys like the Bigfoot version of the Bionic Mission Vehicle have them palling around like old chums.

Unlike the other Bionic toys, there isn’t much to Bigfoot. His arms and legs move, but he doesn’t have joints at the knees or elbows. His only Bionic feature is a plate that pops off of his chest so that Steve can get a good grip and hoist him into the air. Other than that, though, Bigfoot is a pretty bland toy.

However, he’s also insanely rare. This version is MIB and AFA graded at 75. It’s currently gotone bid at the opening price of $799.99 and has four days to go.

Complete Indiana Jones Figure Collection

Very impression auction here, with the complete collection of the Raiders Of The Lost Ark and The Temple of Doom figures/vehicles (except for the 12″ Indy).

Indian Jones prices have definitely experienced the spike I mentioned yesterday, but I can’t deny how neat this little collection is. Oh yeah, did I mention they’re all AFA graded? Mostly 85+.

1989 Jake "The Snake" Roberts AFA Graded 85

There’s nothing like being the only one to own something, and this Black Card Jake The Snake Roberts is the only AFA Graded one in existence. Shortly after this figure was released, LLN/ Grand Toys lost the WWF (Now WWE) License to Hasbro. This makes them very hard to find, as presumably the production run was shorter than normal.

He-Man Eternia Playset

The Eternia Playset was released in 1986 by Mattel, and was the largest Playset ever produced in the Masters of The Universe line. With three levels, three towns and a monorail that runs around the entire playset, it’s a toy that was lusted after by kids everywhere at the time, and is now coveted by collectors. This picture isn’t from the auction, but shows what it looks like assembled. A picture like this however, can’t really show the sheer size of this thing. It’s a monstrosity. Look at the picture in the lower left hand of the box cover, it gives an idea of what we’re talking about.

Seriously, this is one of the most impressive playsets produced ever. For any line. Aside from the size there are a ton of nifty features and accessories.

If you do think about it though, the playset doesn’t make much sense. Monorail? Um, don’t the heroes and villains both have plenty of vehicles that could fly? Even worse are the stops the monorail makes. Think about it. It goes to Eternia, it goes to Castle Grayskull, and then… Snake Mountain. Apparently they wanted to make it easy for Skeletor and his minions to attack Castle Grayskull or Eternia by providing them with a easy access to a monorail system which stops right at Snake Mountain.

Aside from that, the set it hard to find in good condition. The large size and large cost meant it had smaller runs than other playsets. Plus the size meant that it was much more likely to get beat up lying around in someone’s attic. Even worse is that fact that the monorail is notoriously fragile, know to break if you look at it the wrong way.

This isn’t a concern though if you opt to buy this brand new in box AFA graded Eternia Playset. The grade of 50 isn’t the best, but it becomes a lot better when you realize that there is only one other that’s been graded by the AFA so far.

If you’re actually interested in this, I wish you the best of luck. There’s only a few hours left, and it’s sitting at $3,000.00. I would expect a lot of last minute snipers however.
