“There’s lots of cool extras and customizing done on Grimlock. To start, I resculpted the head to best resemble Grimlock, I painted the visor red, and the eyes light up using a small button on his back. The gray base color was achieved using several shades of gray, all the way to an almost white. The gun comes from a Gundam model kit and was painted to match this custom. The gun was also custom made, and the ammo belt actually fits into a small groove on the gun. He also makes lots of sounds… and lights up in various spots (alt mode lights on top)!!!  As for the alt mode (Cybertronian Tank)… I wanted to give Grimlock maximum firepower. I made some custom guns that mount onto small pegs up towards the front. The guns can pivot upwards, downwards, and slightly outwards so Grimlock won’t have a problem locking onto any target. I also added some accessories to his alt mode, like the metal sections towards the back, the pipes on his back door, and the spare tire.”

All three have kept me entertained despite several obvious flaws, so I’m pleased enough with how they turned out. At least they weren’t directed by Uwe Boll right?

Anyway, this custom Resident Evil Alice figure has me excited once again about the franchise. Resident Evil 5 is coming up with the year and I’m sure there’s another movie on the horizon somewhere.

Devastator is the combined form of the six Decipticon Constructicons. The team’s combined form of Devastator is brutality in its purest form—his sole purpose is to destroy anything and everything that gets in his way. It is ironic that the suitably intelligent Constructicons should sacrifice their thinking ability in their combined form, but simple-mindedness is a common limitation of the assorted other first-generation combining Transformers, because Devastator’s thoughts and actions are limited to what his six components can agree upon at any given time. Consequently, Devastator seems like a being of instinct, lashing out at everything around him before contemplating the consequences, but he is also slow and lumbering and very easy to trip up.

There are over 30 points of articulation on this Devastator custom. His head is on a ball joint, waist slightly rotates, shoulders move in and out, arms have 360 rotation front/back ways, elbows bend, forearms rotate in and out, all fingers (minus thumbs) have three points each, leg/hip moves outwards and back, knees bend, lower legs rotate outward/inwards, feet pivot on ankle (Mixmaster only.) The seller says the built this custom starting with six individual transformers, which were taken completely apart, had any factory paint removed, and then primed with plastic primer, which provides a very durable protective under paint. The yellowish-green is a result of five different shades. The silver metal robot parts on him were painted in six shades of silver, to give the ultimate metallic look.

He doesn’t come cheap however, it’s already up to $760.00 with four days to go.

Alternatively, you can just buy the original G1 Contructicons all mint on card. Won’t be much cheaper though, at $660.00 with three days to go.

In the meantime, this Custom Deadpool can get us started. Only $29.00 at the moment, and worth every penny in my opinion. If I had the complete Muggs set (which I need to start working on), I would be bidding on this guy as well.
