The original stop-motion movie monster appeared in the 1974 film ‘The Golden Voyage of Sinbad,’ and was created by Ray Harryhausen, who inspired a generation of filmmakers and special effects wizards. After being brought to life by the villainous wizard Koura, this 8 foot tall, wooden femme fatale causes general mayham, smashing Sinbad’s ship, killing a crew member, and making off with charts vital to his voyage. Cast in rubber from the same mold in which the original model was made, and hand painted by Ray Harryhausen, it was given to the current owner as a gift on his birth. It measures 14 1/4 inches high on a 1 inch high wood base (affixed there by Ray), and 9 inches across from hand to hand. It has no moving parts, and is not malleable or very flexible. This is not a limited edition. It’s the only one. (Additional photos can be provided if requested. Shipping is free, and the method depends on your convenience)

I have a little more shopping to do for my collection however, before I think about adding awesome prototypes like this resin Lynx-O.

Original LJN PRE-production figure used at the 1987 toy show!

This figure is directly from LJN and is a hand painted action figure used in the toy show!

Resign models are pre-production and are a different wieght and feel of the

production plastic figures.

Being much more brittle, it is all the more rare to have this in one piece with no glue applied!

Also these have a much rougher surface.

You will notsee the ‘Telepix/ LCI’ stamp on the bottom of this figures foot either!

Production figures were designed from this one model!

This piece has been in my collection for about 8 years.

Own a piece of true Thundercats history!

You are bidding on an extremely rare prototype model for the unproduced Ramp-Up. This was to be produced for Kenner’s M.A.S.K line of toys, but was not released. The item for bid is an early protoype model, and is completly functional. All parts work correctly, and the toy can transform.

This toy was used in catalog photography for Kenner and was acquired direclty from a former professional in the industry who worked directly on the M.A.S.K.

Something this rare and unique is going to go for a pretty petty. Price is already hefty with lots of time to go.

He was making all new bodies based on the Mego molds, completely new reworked figures from head to toe. His stuff drew so much attention that he decided to commercialize things, and started Flattworld, releasing his own figures.

His first release, Bela Lugosi as Dracula made it to market. Now, these were not just mass-produced action figures, they were classy collectibles -very well made, good materials and extras. Dracula came with a well-made coffin among others.

That proved to the downfall of the line though. They were so expensive to make and orders were just not enough that the plans for other figures couldn’t go ahead.

The Phantom was to be the next release, and it looks like it made it past the prototype stage.

Seller states:

Here we have a handmade prototype Phantom figure created by Charlee Flatt for FlattWorld. FlattWorld was a much anticipated action figure company that began in 1999 and closed shortly after releasing their first figure, a licensed Bela Legosi as Dracula. FlattWorld had purchased licenses to do Phantom, Astro City, Zorro, and Rocky Horror but unfortunately, they never made it to production. A small number of prototypes exist however for each of those lines. This Phantom Prototype comes with Wolf and Throne. All hand cast and hand painted. The posability of the figure is amazing. This particular figure was given as a gift to the president of the Phantom Fan Club by FlattWorld for his help with the project. Once in a lifetime chance to own a truly amazing figure. Condition is perfect, you will not be disappointed. Fits in perfectly with any Mego Collection. I will include some Mego Museum cards with the purchase. I will be happy to answer any specific questions about condition or provide more pictures. This one is from my personal collection . I’m sorry but I can not end auctions early. Good Luck.
